Tiredness of life. Such a busy Friday...

>> Friday, April 24, 2009

Eh. I'm SOOO tired right now. I got up at 6 A.M. this morning to get ready to go on DAY TOUR!!! Woohoo. It was my first time doing it- a new experience. Here's how the day went:

7:30 am: Arrived at Logos. Waited outside in the cold until Mrs. N got there and let us inside the much warmer (but still cold) building. Then we sat around for a while, did a little work, like loading the music stands and drums, until it was time to leave.

Around 8:00 am: Drove from Springfield to Pleasant Hill. The car was nice and warm. I rode in a 15-passenger band with most of my friends- and most of the band, too! The only people who didn't go in the big van were Ben, Sarah, and Star. Everyone who was in the van was (in order of seats- yes, I know, I like listing stuff...):
Back row: Daniel R, Esther/Megan S (they switch now and then), me.
Next row up: Michael, Dillon, Christy
Second row: OKAY DANG I CAN'T REMEMBER!!, Emily, Jessie (who's not in our band, she was the photographer)
First row: Aaron, Jake, Sean
Driver: Mrs. N
Passenger Seat: Daniel P
Aren't I great? I remembered everyone's seat... except one!! I just can't remember who sat next to Emily!

Anyway....

8:45: We preformed at Emerald Christian Academy in Pleasant Hill. I knew 4 people who go there!! It was fun, and we did pretty well, I guess.

Next we went to Briarwood Retirement Center (I'm giving up on the times by now) and listened to the Emerald Christian Academy kids play their music. After that, we played out songs again.

Then, lunch! We were all so hungry. My stomach was growling. We went to Carl's Junior and ate yummy food. =)
I got some coupons for donating a dollar to this breast cancer research thingy. I think my name will be hanging up somewhere in there on a paper star...

Last, but not least, we went to Lifegate Christian Academy. And preformed there. By the time we got there, we were all pretty tired, but we still did pretty well. I knew 1 or 2 people who were there... and then the Pearsons drove me to my dad's work where I read Black for an hour until he took me home.

And now I'm absolutely tired!! I'm gonna go eat dinner and watch some tv. Monk, probably.

Bye for now!! It's been a busy day.
Hope you enjoy your lives!

Creepy Story

>> Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Okay, this is really weird, and not really very realistic or true, but here it is anyway (I was in the mood to write something strange):

Deep down he dug. “Deeper, even deeper!” I commanded him, marveling at the harsh tone my voice could take on. I whipped the man, commanding him that I would have his head if the hole was not dug into a chasm in two nights. Then I left him with that threat.
I walked along the alleyways, pitch black, except for the occasional eruption of hot lava, which spewed forth light. Red light. I loved the color red. Reminded me of blood. And thinking of blood reminded me that I was hungry. Who should I feast on for dinner? Not another lawyer. Unfortunately, there had been an abundance of those lately. They were dry, without much meat on their bones, either just lots of fat- or just lots of bone. And even though I loved the crunchy sound, I needed something a bit healthier. Not a blood donor. They were simply not flavorful enough. No, I needed someone young, someone fresh- maybe a shipload of babies? One had just come in last week. They would be nice and plump. I could eat them buffet-style. My stomach growled intensely, and I hurried my pace. Soon I was at the ledge of the cliff, and there my kingdom lay before me, awaiting it’s king. I looked fondly at the place I called home.

Most people called it Hell.

“Oh, bats, another shipment from California,” I grumbled to myself, swishing my hooked tail back and forth. “They don’t taste too good either. I’ll feed them to Fido. He’s been awful hungry lately.” I climbed down the rope ladder hanging from the cliff, and soon was at the ground floor of my lovely home. Of course, only I thought it lovely. Because only I was not human. I loved the shrieks of women and children, and even the sounds of terrified men. On some days, I summoned any conductors that had been shipped in, and commanded them to make a chorus of the scream and squeals. Music to my ears. More beautiful than anything on earth could ever be. I strolled my away along, passing the torture chamber, just barely glancing inside to make sure the volcanoes had their usual ‘oomph’. And indeed, they did. I passed another room, where my worshippers were stored. They got even worse cruel and unusual punishment than the God-believers. Anyone who was stupid enough to worship me deserved it, in my opinion. Once again, as I walked past another family in chains, crying their eyes out and staring at me as I practically waltzed past, I wondered. Why were humans so stupid? They all should have known they would come here. It was their choice. Did they think that they would enjoy my wonderful world? Didn’t they know that everything they had gone through up on earth was compared to a pin prick here in Hell? I had a very personal punishment waiting for each and every one of them. I knew their deepest fears, their darkest nightmares. I knew what would hit them the hardest. And so I did. Did they not KNOW that I enjoyed their pain? That I was planning to eat them for dinner? What else did they expect? Stupid humans. I even gave some of the more evil ones a choice- join my crew of laborers and dig chasms to discard the ones I didn’t plan to eat in, or be punished for all the bad things they never chose to be forgiven for on earth.
I was powerful.
I was terrible.
I was evil.
I was biting the head off a month-old baby boy. Tasty, juicy, delicious-
and then I woke up from the most awful dream I had ever dreamt by my mom calling me for school.

Life. And stuff. blah blah blah

Another beautiful day! The weather has been so nice to us lately. Isn't it crazy that just a week or so ago it was SNOWING?? (well, it snowed at my house at least).
It blows my mind...

Wow, I just looked out the window, and there on the side of Bear Creek Road is two of my neighbors, riding their horses! I haven't seen that sight since last summer. It makes Spring feel even more real for me, somehow. Now I just want SUMMER!!!! But, Spring is okay, too. For now.

The party yesterday was a lot of fun. Kevin took me and our friends Micah and Jordan. I knew everyone at the party except for 2 people. It was cool. We played lots of games- one of them was a relay where everyone had to take turns blowing (yes, with your mouth) a ping-pong ball across the carpet, around a cone, and back, so the next person on your team could do it. You had to crawl, of course. When I was finished I was SOO out of breath and felt really light headed. But it was all good. There were lots of snacks- and sugar- so most of us were pretty hyper. At the end of the party, we watched a video of this comedian, Tim Hawkins. I've seen him once before on this TV show we have. He's funny.

And, now comes the funny (well, not exactly funny...) part. Micah and Jordan's mom called at about 9:40 (the party was supposed to end at 9) and asked where we were. So, we left, because they needed to get home. We had directions how to get THERE- to the Huckaba's house- but not back. So we just reversed the directions. Simple, right? Nooo, not when Megan Peet is doing the directing. I kind of got a bit mixed up, so, after a while... we were lost. But no fear! When Megan gets someone lost, she can always get them UNlost!! Well, I'm not sure if it was me who got us unlost, but after 20 minutes or so, we were on Main street where we were supposed to be. =P

I'm brilliant, aren't I?

Well, I'm gonna go enjoy the beauties of nature and sunshine. Maybe I can find a warm spot to read my book... hmm....
Bye!

Weekend! Yay!

Today is the weekend, happy happy weekend, today is the weekend, finally Saturday YAY!!
Haha. Like my song? It's actually supposed to be a birthday song, but... whatever... I break the rules (remember?? hehe).

Tonight I'm going to a party for teenage homeschoolers with Kevin, and I invited some of my other friends, but I'm not sure if they (the Sundholms) can go or not yet. Also, I want my friend Jordan to spend the night here, or me spend the night there, but she hasn't responded to the message I left on their phone. And I don't like calling people very much.... but I guess I will have to sometime.

Besides that, I don't think much more is going on over the weekend. But still, it's the WEEKEND, so we have to be happy!!

I've been reading a lot- yesterday I was up in my room almost all day with Black. I love it!! It's so cool, you all should read it, it's not really horror at all, I was wrong, only the other one that I got (Monster) is horror. Black is sooo good! Seriously. You all need to read it. I love it!!! Probably as soon as I got off the computer I will go read it more... so, yeah, everyone read Black. NOW!!

You know what? My brother Kevin is the creepiest freakiest scariest person that I know. He's weird too.

Well, that's all for now. Short post, I know. But I will probably post something more in a little while.

Bye!

"And how does Elyon love?"
"Excellent question! He chooses."
"He chooses."
"He pursues."
"He pursues."
"He rescues."
"He rescues."
"He woos."
"He woos."
"He protects."
"He protects. Ha!"
"He lavishes."
"Is that one of them?"
"Why not?"
"I mean, is that normally placed with the others?"
"It should be."
"...He lavishes."

A Cool Vid

>> Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Hey! So, recently, I found this awesome video that I'd seen before and really liked, but could never find it again. Today I found it! Yay! So, you should watch it. I'm posting it here, but in case it doesn't work, here's the url: http://www.tangle.com/view_video.php?viewkey=c36d95bed21177a09760

So hopefully either way you'll be able to see it. I really the like song/video! The little boy is so cute (especially when he smiles towards the end) and I love the part with the popping balloons. Am I making you curious? Watch it!!

Another Day, Another Post

Right now I'm trying out this new blogger "email posting" thingy. I think it makes it so you can post through your email address. No idea if it will work. Oh well, if it doesn't, it's not that big a deal! I just thought it sounded pretty cool.

Um.... today's Wednesday. That means, stay at home all day, do some school, and then go to Awanas in the evening. Unless maybe I can talk my mom into letting me skip...

I've been think about how utterly crazy I am lately. I mean, really! I can't believe that I told Alice that secret!! You probably know that I never tell my secrets. To anybody. Ever. Well, I told Alice one a few days ago. I'm soooo stupid!!! I NEVER tell my secrets!! Grrr.....

Since I don't think that people really care about my life all that much (if you do, then tell me, I guess, and I can talk more about what I do during the day...) I'm going to post the start of a story I started writing a while ago to post on Teen Ink. Lemme know what you think!!

"Uh-oh. Here he comes!" I hear the snickers and whispered comments being aimed in his direction. The 'him' I'm talking about is Russell.

Russell Johanson. The name is almost an insult in the small high school of Rapid Springs, Missouri, where I attend.

"Ew, Greg, what are you wearing? You look like Russell!"

"No I don't! Take it back!"

It's been that way since we were young. I still remember the first day of kindergarten, when the teacher stood in front of our class and introduced him. "Class," she told us in a nice, soft voice, "This is Russell. He and his family just moved here from Texas. They live in the motor-home park over by 5th avenue. Now, who wants to be little Russell's buddy?" At age 5, I sat there, in a room full of children sitting on their hands. Not even a single finger was raised, and even back then, you could hear the whispers.

Being so innocent and kind, of course, I did the only thing I could think of. I raised my arm. "Ah, good!" our teacher seemed very relieved. "Jason will be Russell's friend. Russ, go sit next to Jason, please." He came over and sat down timidly in the chair next to mine. My 5-year old eyes looked him over. He had a friendly face, even though his eyes were a little droopy. His clothes were what stood out the most. He wore plaid-checked pants, red and purple, with a slightly ripped blue and yellow polka dot shirt. His sneakers were worn out and- I could tell by squinting my eyes- had Barbies on them. Yes, Barbies. When I saw those sneakers, that's when I knew- Russell was different.

Now, I didn't know exactly why. I just knew that no boy in his right mind would wear sneakers with Barbies on them.

That's all I have so far. Hopefully I'll finish it someday! Well, bye for now. See you all sometime!

Catching up!

Mood: tired, but content.
Currently listening to: "Our Solemn Hour" by Within Temptation. (it's on the blog playlist if you're interested...)

Wow, I haven't gotten online at all since Friday. And today is Monday! Wow. So, here's what I've been up to:

Thursday: Ohh, what a painful day! I went to the doctor before band, and got 3 shots!! And they drew my blood! I had two band-aids on each arm. But it actually didn't hurt too much. Then I had band, and Bible study. We're starting to read this really great book called "hearts of fire" or something like that. It's awesome. Very intense.

Friday: My friend Jordan's birthday party was on Friday! So I went birthday shopping earlier in the day (yes I waited until the day of the party to shop). Then I went to the party, of course. It was a BLAST!!

Saturday: The end part of the birthday party, and then we went to an Easter egg hunt at the Gottschalk's house! It was a ton of fun. Lots of my friends were there, so it was awesome. But, wow, I was SOOO tired when I got home!

Sunday: Easter! I went to church, and afterwards we had a fun family dinner with all of my family, the Jenkins, Lisa (my cousin), a deaf friend of Brian's (Ingrid), and Pat Downs, and elderly man that we know. It was fun. After that, we had an Easter egg hunt, and so of course I've been having way too much sugar. YUM!

And now, today. Very normal. I did my math, wrote a freaky story that I guess I might post on here someday, stuff like that.

Oh! My dad is letting me read those horror books I got. I've started Black, and it's amazing already, of course.

Well, gotta go now. Have an awesome life and don't be depressed! Keep reading my blog!

Music again

>> Sunday, April 5, 2009

Hey, just another note about the music player.
For some reason, you can't scroll down. So feel free to just flip through the songs instead, there are actually 16 or so now, I think. (I just added 3 more).
So, yeah... you should listen to the music. I really like all of it.
This is pretty boring so far, so I'm going to post a few pictures that I took yesterday (in the beautiful spring weather).
Bye!

Beautiful Spring Days...

>> Saturday, April 4, 2009

Wow, the weather was so great today! It felt amazing. I went out and took a bunch of pictures of flowers and stuff earlier this evening (before it got dark). Some of them are pretty cool, if you ask me. I'm putting them on Facebook (sorry, Alice, guess you can't see them...).

Yesterday I went over to the Hamovitz's house for a Lord of the Rings marathon. We didn't get started with the first movie until about 2:30, though, so we watched The Fellowship and Two Towers on Friday, and Return of the King today. It was a lot of fun!!!

That reminds me. Anyone heard of the author Ted Dekker? He writes mostly horror, I think. I NEED to read his books Black, Red, and White (a trilogy). So I'm trying to find a copy of Black- the first book of the three. I'm HOPING that Creswell library has it. Must read!!! I also am wanting to read the Diary of a Teenage Girl series, and for a while I've been interesting in Frank Peretti's Monster (also a horror, like Black. I guess I'm into horror these days).

Well, I need to go. Enjoy the great weather while you can!! Have a good rest of the weekend.

-Me.

>> Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Yep, I'm bored. I cleaned the bathroom today. Wasn't much fun. But I got paid!

Right now all I'm doing is... sitting at the computer. Being bored. And talking to Alice- not that she's boring or anything.

This is kind of how I feel:

Yeah! Seriously- wait, I should try that!!!

Okay, well, I'm going to try and stop being bored.

Oh, you might have noticed, the music disappeared. I'm very sad about that. Something's wrong with the Blogger add-ons, it says they're all broken. So as soon as they are fixed, I will get the music back up there. =)

Here's a little survey thingy I might as well fill out (yes, I really am bored!)

First, here's what my name means:

M: gorgeous
E: is really sweet =P
G: very hot (HAHAHA- not!)
A: wild and crazy
N: great kisser

wow that was interesting!!

Second: a random survey. Just for fun.

*Siiigh*

Happy April Fool's Day, everyone! So, I started out writing this post with some kind of a joke in mind. Just to fool you guys. But I had no idea what to write, so instead I'll just post some REAL jokes! And maybe even some pictures. (And I don't care if you don't think they're funny- deal with it). Oh and yes I'm posting blond jokes... and yes I am blond. =P

Two sisters, one blonde and one brunette, inherit the family ranch. Unfortunately, after just a few years, they are in financial trouble. In order to keep the bank from repossessing the ranch, they need to purchase a bull from the stockyard in a far town so that they can breed their own stock.

They only have $600 left. Upon leaving, the brunette tells her sister, 'When I get there, if I decide to buy the bull, I'll contact you to drive out after me and haul it home.'

The brunette arrives at the stockyard, inspects the bull, and decides she wants to buy it. The man tells her that he will sell it for $599, no less. After paying him, she drives to the nearest town to send her sister a telegram to tell her the news. She walks into the telegraph office and says, 'I want to send a telegram to my sister telling her that I've bought a bull for our ranch. I need her to hitch the trailer to our pickup truck and drive out here so we can haul it home.'

The telegraph operator explains that he'll be glad to help her, then adds, 'It's just 99 cents a word.' Well, after paying for the bull, the brunette only has $1 left. She realizes that she'll only be able to send her sister one word.

After a few minutes of thinking, she nods and says, 'I want you to send her the word 'comfortable.'

The operator shakes his head. 'How is she ever going to know that you want her to hitch the trailer to your pickup truck and drive out here to haul that bull back to your ranch if you send her just the word 'comfortable?'

The brunette explains, 'My sister's blonde. The word's big. She'll read it very slowly ... com-for-da-bull.'

A fruit farmer hired two new workers for his fields, but before he sent them out for the day's work, he told them he had just one rule: don't steal any fruit. The two agreed to obey the rule.

After the day was over, the two workers came in to report to the farmer. He asked them if they had stolen any fruit, and immediately their conscience forced them to tell the truth.

"Yes, we did. We ate some when we got hungry," they said.

The farmer replied, "Ok, here is your punishment. I want each of you to go pick ten of your favorite fruit and come back to me."

The men couldn't believe their ears. This seemed more like a reward than a punishment!

After fifteen minutes, the first thief came back with ten cherries. The farmer promptly told him that as part of his punishment, he would have to stuff each cherry up his nose. The thief was upset about this, but he knew he had done wrong, so he slowly began to push the cherries up his nose one by one.

As he was working on the third cherry, he began to laugh hysterically. The farmer asked him, "What's so funny?"

The thief replied, "The other guy is out there picking watermelons!"

Well, that's enough. Hope they made you at least smile! Have a good holiday and pull a couple pranks on your siblings and friends. See yah!
